The Fidelis Partnership announces senior London hires

The Fidelis Partnership ("TFP") today announces the appointments of Steve Crabb as Group Head of Claims and Megha Khanduja as Head of Political Risk, both based in London.

The appointments reflect TFP's continued investment in its claims and underwriting capabilities and reinforce its position as a market leader across Specialty, Bespoke and Reinsurance.

Steve Crabb joins the business as Group Head of Claims, bringing nearly 25 years of experience across specialty claims. He previously served as European Head of Claims at Allied World. Steve will be responsible for the Group's claims function, driving best practice across claims handling, reserving and reporting, while providing strategic claims insight to support underwriting and business performance across the platform.

Megha Khanduja joins from Bloomberg, where she was Head of Europe and Multilaterals for Insurance Solutions, and previously spent eight years at AXA XL as Senior Underwriter for Political Risk, Credit and Bond. She joins as Head of Political Risk, bringing over 12 years of underwriting experience in credit and political risk, including across emerging markets in Africa, Latin America and South Asia. Megha's appointment supports TFP's focus on cross-selling across its underwriting platforms, with political risk a natural complement to many of the broader classes written by TFP and Pine Walk.

John-Paul O'Hare, Group Director of Underwriting at The Fidelis Partnership, commented: "A world-class claims function is fundamental to what we promise clients and capacity partners. When losses happen, the speed, expertise and judgment with which you respond defines your reputation in this market. Steve brings close to 25 years of exactly that kind of expertise, and his experience across a wide range of classes and complex situations is a strong match for TFP. We are very pleased to have him leading this function."

Richard Coulson, Group President – Strategic Partnerships at The Fidelis Partnership, commented: “The world is a more complex and volatile place than it was five years ago and that shows up directly in the demand we are seeing for political risk solutions. The increased prominence of political events in businesses’ risk profiles, along with ever more interconnected global supply chains, means this is also a class where we see real potential for brokers and clients to benefit from TFP’s focus on cross-selling. Megha brings exactly the kind of diverse experience and judgment that this environment demands and we are pleased to have brought her on board.”
